7 May

Media formats and media landscapes have are constantly changing but watching television is still America’s favorite pastime. On average the typical American watches a whopping 4.5 hours of television per day. But how these people are watching television may have changed, some may have cut the cord or cancelled their cable subscription and may be using an on-line television through sites like YouTube, Hulu, etc. Using the television for advertising has many strengths that Kentucky Fried Chicken’s new commercial “I Ate The Bones” has shown. The commercial is creative and shows the product, fried chicken, and how it is being consumed so fast that people think they ate the bones, it then grabs your attention because of the surprise of the people who think they ate the bones that really were not in the fried chicken, and the coverage of this ad is for the masses and its humor can be related to by a large majority of viewers.
